CAB Chiltern in-home advice for over-65s
Tuesday, November 20th, 2018
Citizens Advice Chiltern has launched a really valuable new initiative, providing in-home advice to residents aged over 65 in the Chesham and Amersham areas.
Possible areas of assistance and advice include information on local social groups, with benefits, or help with looking at energy bills. Last year, the most frequent categories of advice given were in the areas of Benefits and Tax Credits (including universal credit), and debt.
Contacts and means of booking appointments are set out on the CAB Chiltern ‘Advice at Home Project’ web page..
This work complements the existing outreach services by CAB Chiltern, which last year included sessions at GP surgeries in Burnham, Langley and Prestwood, and the community centre in Chalfont St Peter.
Did you know?: CAB Chiltern receives no central government funding. It is an independent charity, reliant on donations from local organisations and individuals. Learn how you can support by volunteering, sponsoring or donating.
